Quality Control Technician

£27700 per annum + benefits
Our client is a leading drinks organisation who are based on the outskirts of Glasgow and is seeking a quality control technician to provide front line Quality Control support to the production operations including Bulk Blending, Dry Goods, Bottling and Cased Goods. Responsible for operation of the Quality Laboratory, Dry Goods Inspection, Finished Product Inspection and Liquid Testing.
Key Responsibilities:
·Provide Quality support and guidance to all areas of the blending and manufacturing process
·Report data into daily operational review meetings
·Ensure analytical and testing equipment verification is maintained
·Conduct incoming material and cased good quality checks, record and file results and update SAP to reflect findings and status of materials
·Review of manufacturing documentation and checks to enable positive release of product
·Internal and external key contact to progress non conformances from raising to close out
·Managing retain sampling process and lab administration tasks
·Conduct quality and complaint investigations, participating in root cause analysis activities
·Continuously seek improvement in process and procedures
·Conduct periodic audits as necessary within Operations and with Suppliers to continuously improve processes, procedures and manage risks within the business
·Assist on the review and development of documentation within the QMS
·Support implementation and improvement of QMS and food safety processes across all UK sites
·Support investigations into issues and non-conformances carried out by operations teams with root causes identified and appropriate corrective and preventative actions taken
·Progress actions and perform data reporting within the Q-Pulse software system
·Any other reasonable duties as required for the role.
This is a dayshift opportunity working Monday to Friday with early finish on a Friday. Working in a great time with a proactive attitude and positive culture.
