Are you a project engineer who is looking for more autonomy and exposure in your next move? The if so, this could be the opportunity for you. 

Our client are a well known and established business in the manufacturing sector who are seeking a project engineer to join their small and busy team. With a huge CAPEX plan over the next 5 years, the successful candidate will be involved in such a huge variety of projects over various sites in Scotland that have different manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for multifunctional project delivery across a wide range including process environments, FMCG and packaging environments to offices and facilities and new builds. What an opportunity!! 

Key responsibilities include:

  • To work with your customers to develop engineering projects in line with the 5 year capital plan
  • To identify & develop engineering solutions to deliver cost effective projects across various sites and operations as well as other company assets.
  • Develop project scopes, specifications and budgets to enable effective capex budget applications
  • Develop project justifications with your customers
  • Manage the delivery of assigned capital projects within the agreed scope, budget and timeframe
  • Ensure a strong interface with operational and compliance stakeholders
  • Development of engineering history files for all projects
  • Management of contractors, ensuring compliance with all company requirements and legal legislation
  • Provide periodic progress updates against assigned projects to management and customers identifying risks, opportunities and any remedial action plans required
  • Support management of the Capital budget and capex approval process
  • Ensure that project delivery incorporates customer training
  • Continuously seek improvement
  • Business Improvement initiatives Participation & support
  • Fault finding and repairs on plant equipment ensuring best working practices are used to eliminate repeat failures.

 

This role would suit someone who has an engineering Degree and has experience of working in a project role and is looking for wider exposure. The business has a lovely culture and lots of opportunities to develop your career in different areas of the business.
