Production Operator – General Assembly
Basildon
2 Shift Rotation:
Early: Mon – Thu (0600 – 1400); Fri (0600 – 1330)
Late: Mon – Thu (1345 – 2145); Fri (1345 – 2045)
We are proud to be working with a UK market leader in precision manufacturing and are currently looking for multiple Production Operators (General Assembly) to work with them in their Basildon site.
Responsibilities
- To produce components in line with delivery requirements against agreed schedules
- Ensure that all relevant quality criteria are met
- Ensure adherence to working practices, procedures, policies, H&S
- Operate wide variety of power tools and hand tools.
- Use calibrated measuring devised fixtures and meters.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to quality & work in progress
- Repairs / re-work of nonconforming products
- Maintain a clean work area always ensuring audit ready
- Any other as required
Requirements
- Experience of using hand tools
- Must have a high level of manual dexterity to work with small components
- Ability to read and follow engineering/assembly drawings
- Ability to work with ITAR/EAR restricted parts
- Experience of working to high quality standards on precision components (desirable)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) process (desirable)
- Must be health & safety conscious
- Ensure a flexible and collaborative attitude within the team
- Work constructively and support your peer team and other departments as required
- Act in an appropriate manner when dealing directly or indirectly with customers
- Ensure respect for all team members
- Proactive with good time management
- Good problem-solving skills within span of control/team
- Display a positive attitude and be resilient to setbacks
- Disciplined in maintaining schedules and documentation as required
