Product Owner - Edinburgh/Midlothian

We are Incentive Games, and we are looking for a Product Owner to join our growing business.

Our current clients are multi-national I-gaming companies based in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the USA, and we are expanding into non-I-gaming markets.

Who are we looking for? Someone who:  

  • Will work with the Product Lead to deliver on the product roadmap
  • Is very hands on, delivery focused and focused on the detail
  • Can support our two product development teams on the day-to-day backlog management
  • Is interested in data and gathering insights on player behaviour and game performance
  • Is a strong communicator
  • Is interested in UX and keen to learn more about game design and development

Job Brief  

We’re looking for you to join our team as a Product Owner, reporting to the Product Lead. You will not only play a crucial role in overseeing and guiding the delivery of our upcoming products and features and build strong relationships with our clients, but you will also work closely with the product team to learn about our product framework and get involved in designing new concepts and features. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the Product Lead to execute on a product roadmap for your teams
  • Maintain a healthy backlog for prioritised work
  • Work closely with Design, Data and Technical teams, to ensure you are producing high quality and timely products
  • Work closely with the wider product team to share knowledge and improve processes
  • Support two development teams on the day-to-day detail of developing our games; support in planning, estimation and refinement sessions
  • Create and refine Product Requirements Docs
  • Work with the data team to develop dashboards that enable you to independently monitor games and user behavior of your products
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both external clients and internal teams – we pride ourselves on building strong relationships and offering next level customer support
  • Collaborate with senior leadership team on balancing client needs and business priorities 

Requirements  

  • 3+ years working in product or business analysis
  • Experience working with designers and developers
  • Problem-solving aptitude, ability to think on your feet and action solutions  
  • Enjoy working closely with others as part of a close-knit team 

Other useful experience and skills

  • Experience in the iGaming industry
  • Experienced working in an b2b environment
  • Able to work well in an agile environment, where requirements are still in flux  
  • Experience of data driven development
  • Interest in gaming or gamification techniques
  • An eye for good UX (or more importantly bad UX)
