Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing is thrilled to partner with a leading client in the manufacturing sector to recruit a skilled Manufacturing Engineer. This is an incredible opportunity to join a forward-thinking company where you'll play a vital role in optimising production processes, ensuring safety, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Optimisation: Work closely with the planning and design teams to streamline product design and tooling, ensuring efficient and safe production methods.
- Workflow Analysis: Plan and analyse workflow to maximize efficiency and safety within the manufacturing environment.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with management, design engineering, and other departments to facilitate smooth production processes and manage engineering changes effectively.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify, develop, and implement new machining methods to enhance quality, reduce costs, and optimize the production schedule.
- CNC Technology Leadership: Lead assessments and manage improvement activities in the machine shop, ensuring the highest standards in CNC technology.
- Tooling and Process Support: Provide technical support to the shop floor, manage the specification of tooling, and liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal production outcomes.
- Documentation and Compliance: Create and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, including standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Recognised apprenticeship with relevant experience or a degree in a related field.
- Significant experience in a quality or engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in 3D CAD systems and CADCAM software.
- Good knowledge of CNC machining, both turning and milling.
- Experience in using ERP systems and understanding operational excellence methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, 8D, CTQ, CTP Mapping, RCA
