Maintenance Fitter
Location: Troon
Salary: Competitive
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts (6am-6pm or 6pm-6am)
Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing are excited to partner with a leading name in the timber processing industry for the recruitment of a Maintenance Fitter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team, working at the forefront of the UK and Irish timber industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond swiftly to plant downtime to ensure production targets are met.
- Repair and replace damaged equipment to minimize disruption.
- Use IT systems to accurately record work completed and actions taken.
- Diagnose faults and resolve issues with production machinery and equipment.
- Participate in regular maintenance and equipment overhauls, ensuring all repairs are completed on schedule.
- Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize plant performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including completing necessary work permits.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Fully qualified Maintenance Fitter with relevant manufacturing/process experience
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with production and maintenance teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
