Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing is excited to partner with a pioneering bio-technology company on the forefront of renewable energy innovation. Our client is seeking a dedicated Analytical Laboratory Technician to join their team at their state-of-the-art bio-refinery in Grangemouth.

As an Analytical Laboratory Technician, you will be integral to the production team, conducting essential analyses that support the manufacturing process. Your work will directly contribute to the company's vision of becoming a global leader in sustainable ABE fermentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis of samples related to the biological process, raw materials, bulk deliveries, CIP samples, water systems, and finished products, adhering to cGLP, cGMP, Health and Safety, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory team members and process operators to ensure continuous process operation and meet KPIs.
  • Interpret and report data trends to key stakeholders.
  • Review and ensure compliance with all documentation, including SOPs, Risk Assessments, and COSHH.
  • Maintain data records and uphold high standards of laboratory housekeeping.
  • Ensure maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
  • Manage chemical and consumable stock control within the laboratory.
  • Uphold company values through demonstrated behaviours.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Scientific background with relevant experience in an analytical laboratory or industrial fermentation/distillation environment.
  • Proficiency in laboratory instrumentation, including HPLC, GC, and Karl Fischer Analysis.
  • Experience in method development and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on delivering high standards in GLP, GMP, Quality, H&S, Regulatory, and Customer Service.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results on time.
  • High level of problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable: Experience in microbiological techniques such as aseptic sampling and agar plating.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
