We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, network devices and software. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and customer-service oriented, with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting techniques.

** Please note that this is an office-based role in Linwood **

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer support or end user support queries and requests via email, phone or on site.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Upon diagnosing the problem, you will guide first line support engineers or clients through the resolution / fix or escalate to third line support as and when necessary.
  • Work with the Technical Manager and support team to identify any recurring technical or training issues or documentation requirements are flagged and managed.
  • Accurately update interactions via our helpdesk and CRM platforms.
  • Update site information for clients sites and offices
  • Help document and follow procedures and processes
  • Continuously update your product and technical knowledge for all products we sell and/or support.
  • Ensure security and privacy of systems and data.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent experience of networks and network fault diagnosis, Next Gen firewalls / routers etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 and 11.
  • Good Server knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, social and interpersonal skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good hardware and software diagnostic skills.
  • Good work ethic.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment.
  • Previous experience of working in an I.T support role Preferably an IT services company).
  • Relevant Microsoft qualifications would be preferred.
  • STRONG knowledge of Office 365 products including Teams, SharePoint and Azure.
  • Experience of VOIP telephony products (e.g. 3CX and Gamma)
  • Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Autotask, RMM Platforms).
  • Experience with cloud-based services (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
