A newly created position to allow a new structure for growth has become available in an established and growing business in the FMCG sector in Glasgow and we are proudly supporting them in recruiting a Head of Manufacturing to lead and manage in-house Operations, ensuring targets in production, health and safety, cost, quality, customer service, and people development are met. To ensure compliance with all health, safety & environmental legislation and the requirements of HM Revenue & Customs and to partner with peers to ensure maintenance and development of systems to meet the needs of external accreditation systems. You will develop and manage the implementation of Operational Excellence, to drive a culture of continuous improvement and “Best Practice” compared to competitors and be responsible for the procurement of packaging materials, including setting up supply contracts, and regular Supplier Performance Management (SPM) reviews.

This will be a busy role and showing your capability to drive performance and behaviours whilst developing a new culture will be key.

The client is keen to speak with people who have experience of driving change in an FMCG environment, who is passionate about people and can showcase how you would take the teams forward. They are looking for someone who is able to work alongside the senior team to achieve common goals and who has a background in manufacturing excellence and how to implement this across multiple areas of the business.
