  • Bespoke commercial training tailored to employer needs

They are seeking an innovative, dynamic, and quality-focused leader to elevate our Engineering, Construction & Technical Skills department to new heights. This individual will embrace the opportunities presented by the new Green Freeport initiative and collaborate closely with stakeholders to advance the Arrol Gibb Innovation Campus (AGIC) as a hub for skills development and innovation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Assistant Principal in shaping and driving the strategic vision and leadership for the School of Engineering, Construction & Technical Skills, with a focus on engineering excellence.
  • Ensure the curriculum remains inclusive, high-quality, and responsive to industry needs, fostering innovation and student success.
  • Contribute to the wider College strategy, achievement targets, and cross-college initiatives, promoting collaboration and excellence at all levels.
  • Lead your curriculum area to deliver outstanding student outcomes through effective teaching, guidance, and support. Oversee commercial activities and manage all associated resources, ensuring optimal financial performance and sustainability of a £6 million operational budget.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with key regional and national employers to design and deliver cutting-edge training programmes that meet current and emerging skills demands, including new and upskilling initiatives.

We are particularly keen to speak with individuals who come directly from the engineering or construction sectors who have a passion for innovative technologies and a passion for ensuring that skills in the local area are aligned to industry. We are looking for someone who is inspirational and has the ability to take the team on a journey through growth and change, someone who has the ability to network, build relationships and play an instrumental part in taking their department to the next level.

Join them in shaping the future of engineering education and workforce development while driving progress, sustainability, and excellence at Fife College.
