Job Overview:

Darcey Quigley & Co Ltd are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations. This includes managing the financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive financial performance forward. Working closely with key senior stakeholders, driving actions and managing a small team.

Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited, to the following responsibilities.

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company objectives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, taxes, and other financial obligations.
  • Produce monthly Management Accounts.
  • Responsible for full reconciliation of all accounts.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Have experience of working in a high volume, multi-company environment.
  • Knowledge of Xero and have a high appetite for tech stack.

Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in financial software (Xero) and Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands on individual required for this role.
