The Role:
The Field Solar Electrician role is a hands-on position focused on maintaining and optimising the performance of solar power plants. It involves both scheduled and corrective maintenance to ensure the efficient operation at their client’s sites:
- Ensure compliance with site obligations and report on performance.
- Identify and address HSE issues, reporting to the SHEQ Manager.
- Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance on solar systems.
- Maintain site quality, including electrical and landscaping standards.
- Coordinate with the Regional Manager, Area Supervisor, and other teams.
- Work with internal teams and subcontractors to complete tasks efficiently.
- Undertake necessary training and professional development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Electrician (time-served, with relevant electrical qualifications).
- 17th/18th Edition Wiring Qualification
- Full UK driver’s licence (essential due to travel requirements).
- Interest in renewable energy and a drive to develop in a growing sector.
- Willingness to travel across Scotland and the UK, including remote locations (Jura, Islay, and beyond).
