Field Service Engineer – Bottling

Nine Twenty are proud to be working with a well-established business which supports the drinks manufacturing industry in the UK by supplying them with Bottling and Packaging equipment. They are looking for multi-skilled engineers to join their growing engineering department, to install and maintain the equipment across their varied client base.
Responsibilities
- Undertake commissioning installations as required by Sales and Service.
- Undertake Service visits as required.
- Undertake service package visits as outlined in package maintenance schedule.
- Undertake courtesy visits to customers as required.
- Liaise with Customer and OEM to ensure best possible outcomes at all times.
- Attend OEM sites as required for, but not limited to, machine familiarisation, resolution of issues and training.
- To adopt a “can do” solutions driven approach in all interactions.
- Act as a resource for training and technical support for Sales and Service Teams.
- Ensure all Health and Safety obligations are adhered to on site, maintaining both Customer and Evolution BPS standards of H&S compliance.
- Achieve key objectives set in line with the strategic aims of the business.
- Attend Evolution, Supplier and Industry events, as required.
- Develop an in-depth technical understanding of the key products in the Evolution portfolio and their application.
- Complete all job reports, timesheets and expenses etc accurately and on time.
- At all times act in the best interests of Evolution, Customers, OEMs and all other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Multi Skilled Engineer with Electrical Engineering Qualification
- Excellent understanding of control systems
- Proficiency in PLC programming and fault diagnosis is desirable
- In depth knowledge & experience of the bottling / food packaging / personal care market place.
- Ability to develop a detailed technical understanding of the Evolution product range and its application.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to all levels of stakeholder within a business to business environment.
- Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work autonomously.
- Full, clean UK driver’s licence required
This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to network across all major brands throughout the drinks industry. You will become trained and specialise in the equipment that they use on-site. Regular travel will be required and you must be flexible to do this with the needs of the business (allowances given when away from home).
We are looking for time-served engineers (ideally with an electrical bias) with experience in maintenance across bottling or packaging industry.
