4 days on/4 days off (2x 12 hour days, 2x 12 hour nights) **under review and subject to change**

 

Nine Twenty are working with a market leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of specialist and non-woven products, to find Electrical Shift Technicians to join their team in their Berwickshire.

 

Responsibilities

  • Including Take 5 in your daily tasks and creating a Zero harm environment ensuring your own safety and that of others.
  • Providing technical support for both the production shift team and the EC&I department.
  • Carrying out planned proactive tasks in accordance with shutdown plans.
  • Carrying out reactive tasks as required by the needs of the business in an efficient manner.
  • Disciplined adherence to all safe systems and processes;
  • Designing and developing new electrical and control systems tailored to paper mill operations, as well as test, maintain and modify existing systems to ensure safety and efficiency;
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines across all EC&I and asset management activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
  • Participating in the development and execution of OPEX and CAPEX budgeted activities and projects related to paper mill electrical, control and instrumentation and asset management;
  • Use of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS-MaintainX) to insert comments, tasks, requests or messages relating to tasks and close out completed jobs.
  • Other duties specified by the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Supervisor and Engineering Manager to support operational requirements.

 

Requirements

  • Successful candidates should have undergone a recognised apprenticeship scheme.
  • Proven experience of LV & HV electrical distribution infrastructures.
  • Electrical Maintenance experience, preferably within heavy manufacturing.
  • Background knowledge of PLCs would be advantageous.
