Role Purpose:

As a Distillery Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the distillery's equipment and processes. Reporting to the Distillery Manager, you will provide effective reactive maintenance for breakdowns and take a leading role in preventive planned maintenance (PPM) across the site.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.

• Manage day-to-day asset performance, maintenance delivery, and planning within the distillery, including planned shutdowns.

• Carry out preventative maintenance (PPM) throughout the site.

• Introduce and support condition-based monitoring to improve reliability.

• Manage critical spares for the distillery to minimise downtime.

• Support capex investments and improvement projects, driving continuous improvement.

• Assist the bottling hall as required, covering issues, holidays, and absences.

• Troubleshoot and document issues related to quality, environment, health, and safety.

• Collaborate with the wider production and support team to achieve site goals.

 

Skills and Experience Required:

• Strong mechanical engineering background with some electrical knowledge.

• Highly motivated with a background in continuous improvement.

• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within distilling, brewing, or FMCG.

• Ability to identify and resolve equipment issues effectively.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and within a cross-functional team.
