Cask Handler

Nine Twenty are delighted to be supporting a hugely successful Whisky Manufacturer who are looking to hire an experienced Cask Handler to manage daily operations in a busy warehouse environment. You’ll be responsible for receiving, storing, and dispatching casks, dry goods, and finished products. Working closely with the warehouse and production teams, you’ll also handle stock counts and administrative tasks.
Main Responsibilities:
- Cask Handling & Storage: Oversee the receiving, storing, and distribution of casks, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Stock Management: Track stock locations using barcode scanning and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Order Fulfillment: Process orders for packing, picking, and dispatch of casks and other goods.
- Forklift Operations: Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as required.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock counts and manage stock rotation (FIFO).
- Collaboration: Coordinate with transport companies and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and stock movements.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to warehouse processes.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in cask handling or warehouse operations.
- Forklift license (cask clamp experience is a bonus).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP).
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work well in a team.
