Invinity Energy Systems PLC are a leading global manufacturer of utility-grade energy storage, and they are pleased to announce that it has leased an additional manufacturing facility in order to meet the growing demand for long-duration energy storage in the UK.
The 26,000 sq. ft facility is situated in Motherwell and is around 6 times the size of the Company's existing facility in Bathgate and is expected to increase the Company's UK assembly capacity to over 500 MWh per year.
An exciting time to join the business and be part of their new and growing team! As an Assembly Technician you will assist the manufacturing team in assembling components and final products to meet company specifications, ensuring performance and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble products per instructions and company procedures.
- Follow Health and Safety guidelines.
- Inspect components and materials during assembly.
- Test finished products as per procedures.
- Operate assembly and test equipment (e.g., Factory Acceptance Tester, 100-tonne press).
- Take precision measurements for component fit.
- Align materials to build complex units.
- Ensure highest quality output.
- Maintain equipment.
- Record production quantities and lot numbers.
- Report issues, malfunctions, or defective parts.
- Use hand tools and soldering irons.
Requirements:
- Experience in a manufacturing/assembly line environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and adaptability.
- Inline inspection experience for components/subassemblies.
- Basic IT skills.
- Ability to work across production areas.
- Team player with initiative.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet standards.
- Attention to detail.
- Quick learner with good manual dexterity.
- Effective task management.
- Understanding of production costs, including quality impact, waste, downtime, scrap, and rework.
