Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing is proud to partner with Invinity Energy Systems PLC on their recruitment drive for their new facility in Motherwell.

Invinity Energy Systems PLC are a leading global manufacturer of utility-grade energy storage, and they are pleased to announce that it has leased an additional manufacturing facility in order to meet the growing demand for long-duration energy storage in the UK. 

The 26,000 sq. ft facility is situated in Motherwell and is around 6 times the size of the Company's existing facility in Bathgate and is expected to increase the Company's UK assembly capacity to over 500 MWh per year.

An exciting time to join the business and be part of their new and growing team! As an Assembly Team Leader you will provide technical knowhow to the manufacturing team responsible for the assembly of flow battery assemblies, and to lead and assist the manufacturing team in the assembly of components and final products in accordance with company drawings/specifications, ensuring products performance and quality requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance for colleagues on the Stack Assembly Line with less experience, inducting, guiding, and training on-the-job
  • Support the Manufacturing & Facilities Manager identify and resolve potential issues affecting the quality and delivery targets, and safe working practices
  • Work alongside team members in the Stack Assembly Line with tasks including:
  • Assemble products using instructions and companywide procedures 
  • Undertake duties in line with all Health and Safety procedures and guidelines
  • Inspection of components and materials used within the assembly process
  • Testing of finished products in accordance with instructions/ procedures
  • Operation of assembly Test/Process equipment

Requirements:

  • The ability to support and encourage individuals so that they give their best and achieve team targets
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly line environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and an ability to learn and adapt to new tasks
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Previous experience of inline inspection of components/subassemblies
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures
  • Basic IT skills
