1. Can you tell us a little about your background before you joined the team at Nine Twenty Recruitment?
After graduating from University, I went on to do a season in Val D’Isere, France where I managed a restaurant in a small hotel. I then continued to do some travelling through Europe after.
I settled back in Edinburgh where I was given the opportunity to open a new restaurant and then eventually managed all 3 restaurants within the group.
Before joining Nine Twenty Recruitment I worked in recruitment for a year and a half, first within Operations then Business Transformation and Change, both within Financial Services.
2. What attracted you to working with our team?
I heard great things about the team and company before joining including its fantastic work from anywhere policy.
The Nine Twenty Technology team also have an interesting list of clients. I’m currently working with a climate technology company whose mission is to advance the sustainability of the world’s buildings and cities.
3. What does your role in the business involve?
I’m an Account Manager for the Technology team.
4. What is your focus over the next 3 months?
To learn the market quickly and to support my clients with finding the best talent.
5. Tell us more about who you are out of work?
Outside of work I play football. After developing some aches and pains with getting older I have recently started taking up yoga. If it’s good enough for Ryan Giggs and Lebron James, then its good enough for me!
6. What is your biggest success so far?
Outside of recruitment: It fills me with a lot of pride walking past the restaurant I helped build and went onto manage. Over COVID I helped set up our in-house delivery system and Deliveroo awarded us with the most bought dish in Edinburgh for 2020.
Within Nine Twenty Recruitment: Settling into my new role and adjusting well to the Technology market.
