1. Can you tell us a little about your background before you joined the team at Nine Twenty?
After graduating with an Honours degree in Graphic Design, I was working as a freelance Graphic Designer to gain valuable knowledge and experience working with various clients. It mostly taught me about time management and efficiency in my workflow which is incredibly important within the design industry.
2. What attracted you to working with our team?
I wanted to aim higher with my goals as a designer. Ever since I began studying design, I knew that I wanted to work alongside a team that could communicate well and produce great work. I knew that Nine Twenty Recruitment could offer me an environment with a solid backbone and an outstandingly friendly and personable team to work with.
3. What does your role in the business involve?
My role is that of a graphic designer. I work alongside the marketing team to produce graphics for our recruitment socials as well as brand identity as of recent. This could be anything from digital graphics, artwork, motion graphics and much more!
4. What is your focus over the next 3 months?
My focus with Nine Twenty Recruitment is to build a reputation as a designer that anyone can come to with a task that needs fulfilling quickly and with quality. I want to focus on building our brand identity so that we become immediately recognisable in our space!
Our rebrand has been one of our main projects to date. We’ve been putting in a lot of work to establish an identity on social media as well as brainstorming visuals to make Nine Twenty Recruitment a contemporary and trendy brand in the recruitment space. We want to be disruptive, appealing and eye catching.
5. Tell us more about who you are out of work?
I’m very much a creative in and out of work. One of my favourite interests is computer building and repair in which I probably know a little too much. Playing family tech-support for much of my upbringing probably had something to do with it. Honestly, I feel like I have dipped my toes into a lot of creative outlets whether that be photography, video or even VFX and 3D.
6. What has been your biggest success so far?
Honestly, I think my biggest success is simply making my family proud. I knew I wanted to pursue a creative career, so I put in the work. I’m so thankful to those who have supported me throughout my education. The creative sphere is competitive, and I’m so happy to be part of it.
