Nine Twenty were delighted to attend the Techaus Festival, a large scale event organised by The Digital Meetup group in association with equator, hosted at SWG3 on Friday 11th November.
Armed with balloons, banners, a Fitbit free prize and trays upon trays of delicious Nine Twenty cupcakes, we were ready for the event to begin!
The day consisted of a number of talks and workshops from digital industry specialists as well as an interactive gaming area to test out your gaming skills and find out what’s new in the digital world of entertainment.
We managed a stall where we chatted to attendees alongside a number of other exhibitors, all with a focus on Digital in Scotland. It’s fair to say the masses were enticed by our delicious cupcakes and once we broke the ice, we were able to chat away to the digital community about recruitment trends, give advice and share our network with attendees.
We definitely won the crowd over with these!
There were lots of insightful talks held throughout the day with five main feature areas including Disruption, Creativity, Engagement, Skills and Vision. One of the talks which we felt could have a real impact on us here at Nine Twenty was a presentation given by Equator, discussing the importance of adding value to your advertising functions. Equator discussed how adding value should generate the best response rates from your target market. This concept is hugely relevant to recruitment advertising, enabling us to engage further with both our candidates and clients.
The more value we add into creating fun and attractive job ads, the higher the engagement rates should be right? Well after hearing how to add value to our customers, it’s a challenge we’re happy to take on here at Nine Twenty.
Our stall set up at Techaus Glasgow!
So all in all, Techaus Glasgow was a great way for our consultants to showcase their technology expertise here at Nine Twenty and build relationships with digital professionals in and around Glasgow as well as helping us to keep on top of current industry trends.
Big thanks to Digital Meet Ups for creating the event; we are already looking forward to their next event and we promise to bring more cakes with us next time…!
